Configuring PDF Signature Forms

You must be a Service administrator with permissions to edit Code Tables to configure your PDF Signature Forms.

You can upload PDF files into your ZOLL emsCharts system. When a PDF Signature Form is selected in a chart, ZOLL emsCharts places an invisible overlay on top of the form which allows crews to digitally markup the form using free-hand just like a digital whiteboard. The marked-up PDF will be saved to the chart. Some use-cases for PDF Signature Forms are PCS forms, discharge forms, and STEMI checklists.

Note: PDF Signature Forms are not available for use in ZOLL emsCharts NOW.

The PDF Custom Forms Code Table displays a list of your Service's PDF Signature Forms on the left side. To edit an existing form, select it. To create/upload a new PDF Signature Form, click ADD.

When editing or adding a new PDF Signature Form, you have a few options and fields to fill out.

  • Name: Enter the name of your form as it will appear when selecting a PDF Signature Form in charts.

  • Status: Set to 'In Use' to add the form as a selectable PDF Signature Form in charts. Set to 'Draft' to hide the form from displaying in charts but still allow administrators to select and edit it in the PDF Custom Forms Code Table. Set to 'Hide Permanently' to remove it from your system so it will not be selectable in charts as well as in the PDF Custom Forms Code Table.

  • Current PDF: If you are adding a new PDF Signature Form, this will display as None. If you are editing an existing form, this will have a button labeled 'View' that when clicked, will display the current uploaded PDF.

  • Upload New PDF: Click Choose File to browse your local machine for the PDF file to upload.

    Notes:

    • The file must be a PDF.

    • The maximum file size is five megabytes (5 MB).
